Privacy Policy

snoozetaker is an alarm clock for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what we do with personal information (as defined in the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) when you use the snoozetaker app and the snoozetaker.com website (together, the Service).

The short version

snoozetaker has no accounts and no snoozetaker server. Your alarms, labels and sound choices are stored on your device and are never transmitted to us. We do not collect analytics, we do not use advertising identifiers, and there are no third-party SDKs in the app.

Information the app collects

None. The alarms you create — the time, the label, the repeat days, the sound and the snooze settings — are written to the app's own storage area on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. They are included in an iCloud or iTunes device backup only to the extent that Apple backs up the app's data on your behalf, under Apple's terms and your device settings.

Permissions the app asks for

snoozetaker asks for permission to send notifications, and on iOS 26 and later for permission to schedule alarms. Between them they are what allow an alarm to ring when the app is not on screen; neither is used to send you messages of any kind, and the alarm permission does nothing but set alarms you have set. The app plays audio, so it also uses your device's audio output. It does not request access to your location, contacts, calendar, photos, microphone or health data, and it does not use the network.

Information the website collects

snoozetaker.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. As with any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs — the requesting IP address, the time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string — which we use to keep the site running and secure. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you. The site loads a stylesheet toolkit from a third-party content delivery network, which will see your IP address as a consequence of serving that file.

Email you send us

If you email us for support, we hold that email and your address for as long as it takes to help you and to keep a record of the issue. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose information where we are required to by law. Our website is hosted by a third-party infrastructure provider, and app distribution and payment (if any) are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the small amount of information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

snoozetaker is not directed at children under 13, and because the app collects no personal information we do not knowingly hold any information about them.

Access and correction

You may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it, using the contact address below. In practice, for app users the answer is almost always "none". We will respond promptly, and if we refuse a request we will tell you why and how to complain.

Enquiries and complaints

Please contact admin@snoozetaker.com with any question or complaint about this policy or our handling of personal information. We usually respond in writing within 30 days. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner on 1300 363 992 or at enquiries@oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We review this policy from time to time and will post any updated version on this page.

This policy is effective as of 23 August 2026.
